Animal Life is proud to be trained by...
Animal Life is a small association for the protection of animals and nature who has managed to sustain its projects for over two years.
We started small but Romania’s failure to cope with its animal welfare problems forced us to grow and take action. With a handful of members and volunteers who spend their last dime and most of their spare time, we managed, with our own resources, to organize our activities.
so far we have organized 3 spay/neuter campaigns for people who cannot afford spaying and neutering their pet
once a month we are organizing local adoption campaigns
during the last 2 years we have managed to find homes for about 100 dogs and 20 cats per year
we have started working with a foreign organization for international adoptions
we are going to start working with schools and the local city hall for promoting concepts like environmental protection, tolerance towards animals, especially street dogs who are often perceived as a threat for the local population
Animal Life is based up to 90% on its own resources, that is the contribution of its 10 members. Our greatest effort is trying to take care of ownerless animals in a city which has an approximate population of stray dogs of about 6000 souls!
Our approach is finding as soon as possible proper homes for our dogs.
We are trying to make a difference but the road is long, especially when it comes to changing people’s mentality: we live in a country where stray dogs are seen as a disease which must be eradicated, rather than souls which need to be taken care of.
Our proposed long term solution of spaying/neutering and returning into territory is still regarded by authorities as an extravagance.
We are not asking for your money! We are asking for your support! If you are interested in working with us, here is what you can do:
adopt our dogs or find families who want to adopt them
help us organize large spay/neuter campaigns
help us with anything you can: medicine, blankets, dog collars, flea treatments etc
Thank you!
